When someone steals from you, spiritually

This morning’s church service was about theft. As I sat in the pews, I reviewed in my mind’s eye a particular time I was stolen from intangibly. The bible says that sins of the spirit are greater than sins of the flesh – and I feel this 100.

Of the endless examples I could provide about my experience with spiritual (intangible) theft, I flashed through the motions of one experience I had. From an outsider’s perspective, one with little or no context, this theft might not appear as such – it could easily translate as a misunderstanding, an exaggeration on my part, etc. That is because crimes of the flesh are completely different than crimes of the spirit, and only the perpetrator, God, and the receiver of the perpetrator’s negative actions can be fully conscious of the truth and reality of the crime.
