It's true that God gives up on no one, and it is also true that God DOES give up - after a certain number of opportunities. Yes, this fact is in The Bible, but you don't need to be religious to conceive of it. The scariest existence - even for a so called atheist - is to feel God leave your house. Can you imagine what it feels like WHEN GOD LEAVES YOUR HOUSE? When God leaves your house - and there are a number of reasons for it - you have effectively killed yourself and are committed to a life of hell. Whether physically alive or not, it's all the same."
